Wasyoku Gozen

Wasyoku Gozen is like a course cuisine, but all meals are on a big tray.

I like a course cuisine, but also Washoku Gozen.

The looks is very beautifl; color, arrangement, and the amount.
The tastes are really good!

It seems as if happiness was contained.

I explain this picture.
There are;

・Sushi

・Sukiyaki: it contains beef, mushroom, long green onion, whitish strings of konnyaku

・Tempura

・Chawan-mushi: a custard-like dish containing shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, vegetables, etc., steamed in a cup

・Otsukuri:Sashimi

・Osuimono:soup made of stock

・Tohu

・Sauce with Japanese white grated radish: sauce to dip Tempura


When I eat Washoku Gozen, I feel rich and satisfied.
It is a little expensive, but the cost is worth paying.

Deserted restaurant

Last saturday, I went to station building in Mito.

At restaurant floor, there are some restaurants, and I enterd one of them.
However, the restaurant has a few customers.
I was surprised.
It was Saturday night!
It should have more customers, like family, worker, students, and so on.

The tast was not so bad and the shop assistants were kind.
What is the problem?

Mito station is prosperous in Ibaraki.
And many people use there.

Ibaraki is a rural prefecture.
So, maybe, people who use the station go home straight and people who don't use the station don't know the exsistence of restaurants in the station.

We talked about eating out in the class.
For Japanese, eating out happen very well.
I think Japan is good to live!

Recommendation of Ice cream

Hot!!
Summer is coming. It's the season that ice cream tastes good:)

What kind of ice cream do you usually eat?
Garigarikun? Pino? Hargendats? 31?


Recently, I'm a fan of "Parm".

The commercial says 'it is a tremendously well made ice cream'.
Aren't you attracted?

It is played by Akira Terao and made by Morinaga.

I ate it. Actually, it was so nice!

The ice is coverd with chocolate, the content is vanilla ice cream, and it is sticked.
Really creamy! You might melt;p

There are three points which make Parm nice.

1. Mascalpone cheese
It makes vanilla thick.
2. Rapid freesing
It makes smooth organization.
3. Melting temperature of Chocolate
The chocolate is controled that melt with same temperature of human.

No Reservations

"No Reservations" is a movie.
The jenre is drama and love story.
It makes your heart warm.

Its Japanese title is "Shiawase no Recipe".
You might have heard. It was broadcasted on TV last week.

Kate is a chef in famous restaurant in New York.
She is a perfectionist and give the proper directions for other cooks.
The kitchen was her place where she had built up.

One day, her sister deid and Kate takes charge of her daughter Zohy, nine years old.
However, She doesn't eat her exellent dishes.
In addition, when she go back to her kitchen, Nick, a new vice-chef, show his cooking skills, ringing classic music loudly.

Her life, which was regular hours and must had commanded like her kitchen, would change with these things.
She finds new herself.

In this movie, many excellent dishes come up.
However, Kate didn't have a delicious meal for a long time.
What important is to eat with someone.

Kate, Zohy and Nick are not blood relatives.
But, they look like really happy.

You may be looking for a happy recipe, which is consisted of not only work.

Dry Fruits

Have you ever tried dry fruits?


It is dehydrated in the sun to make it preservative.

And it is used not only for preserved food, but also for ingredient of confections.



There are many good points in it.

Today, I will introduce about them.


1. A feeling fullness
You can get a feeling fullness because it takes some times to digest and absorb.
You should bite well, so it prevents overeating!

2. Not easy to store fat

3. Effective for constipation
It contains many dietary fiber, iron and minerals.



However, please be careful two things.

Overeating of dry fruits makes your energy over.
And only dry fruits diet is not good because the nutrition balance would lean.





Next, how to enjoy dry friuts.

1. Just eat
It has enough sweetness, so first, please enjoy as it is!

2. Mix in yoghurt
If you do diet, I recommend this way.

3. Dry fruits tea
Pour tea with dry fruits. You can enjoy the flavor.

4. Pan cake
Mix pancake mix, water, eggs and dry fruits.





Recently, I found that dry fruits were sold at Ito Yokado.
You may feel it is little expensive.

However, please try!!
Very healthy and good.

Silicon steamer

Recently, I bought a Silicon Steamer which is much talked about.

It was on a bargain sale, so I could get it easily!!




Using it, the dish can be healthy because we don't have to use oil and we just steam.


I tried some times, and found that it is really easy to cook and it doesn't take much times.


Those are the reasons why it is popular.




Here are the examples which I cooked by using Silicon Steamer.


Chawan-mushi; a custard-like dish containing shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, vegetables, etc., steamed in a cup.


1. Prepare the ingredients what you want to contain.

Usually, shrimp, chicken, shiitake mushrooms, carrot,ginkgo nut

2. Put them in the Silicon Steamer.

3. Mix eggs with soup stock (fish). Eggs:Soup stock=1:3

Make sure you mustn't whip the eggs

4. Filter the liquid.

5. Pour No.4 on the Silicon Steamer.

6. Cover the lid and cook in a microwave oven about 1 minute.

(the time depends on the oven)



Steam chicken, cabbage and shimeji mushroom

with soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar and dashi.

The chicken became very soft and collagen-like!

I recommend using chicken for steam.




Still, I am a beginner of Silicon Steamer cooking.

If you have it, please tell me about your cooking using Silicon Steamer.



In the end, to tell the truth, it smells little like rubber.

It may be my steamer is not regular one.

So, please pay attention that the steamer is real or not when you buy it.

Tai Parfait

Today, I will introduce a unique food that I'm interested in recently.


Tai Parfait.

Tai means a sea bream.



Tai parfait is a new sweet, which is introduced on TV recently.






These years, new taste is becoming popular.
It is that cool and hot are together on the meal.

For example, Fondant chocolat with ice cream, Hotcake and ice cream, and Fried ice.



Like these, almost the new sweets are with ice cream.



Also, Tai parfait is consisted of Taiyaki and ice cream.


It looks as if Taiyaki is eating ice cream. Very unique!!



By the way, do you know there is a difference for way of bake?

If it is baked in one mold, it is called wild fish,
and if it is baked in plural molds, it is called farmed fish.

I was surprised to hear that those tastes different.


In the end, I ask you very controversial question.

Do you eat from head or tail?
